Remote Access for OT users in Critical Infrastructure
Login Experience
Especially in Critical Infrastructure environments or Manufacturing Industries with various remote production sites, the operator or third party vendor requiring access to an Industrial Control System, typically first has to connect to the (corporate) VPN server, than to a (corporate) Jump Host and finally to a remote (SCADA) Jump Host before one can actually access the Industrial Control System for service or maintenance. This could take 12-15 minutes especially if the connection is made occasionally, likely for a third-party vendor (often requiring extra support from local IT/OT administrators for lost passwords and or procedural difficulties).
To demonstrate how fast and simple remote access via a Multi Target Defense network is, the demo shows what it is like for a third-party vendor using this new remote access solution to access a virtual desktop connected to a remote Industrial Control System in seconds!
Since 2020 Lapidaire Projects and Dispel partnered to market and support the unique secure remote access solution from Dispel. Originally designed and developed in the militairy world, but later patented and commercialized by Dispel to manage and monitor Industrial Control Systems in the Critical Infrastructure.
The solution is now also used and suitable to other types of business, government or health care environment where, for instance, employees, customers, stores or branch offices require secure, fast and easy remote access to:
centrally hosted server(s) to share (sensitive) data, orders or otherwise.
a video conferencing server to participate in a secured video conference.
